1923 Cafe, Hamtramck, Michigan

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of running the annual Paczki Run in beautiful Hamtramck Michigan. Hamtramck is an ethnically diverse community nestled within the city of Detroit and is known for its beautiful churches, eclectic restaurants, delicious bakeries, and exotic meat markets. It also boasts of a vibrant music and arts scene with an annual music festival .

After consuming my post race paczki I stopped by 1923 Cafe on Holbrook Ave for a latte to go. 1923 Cafe (in operation for close to 11 years), is an ideal coffee hangout spot with vintage oak bookshelves and a relaxing backroom for work, study or conversation. Their coffee is top-notch as well, sourced from nearby Coffee Express Roasting Company from in Plymouth.

If you’re ever in metro Detroit, 1923 Cafe is a great spot to enjoy a fresh roasted cup of coffee in a relaxing atmosphere. Check them out!
