The Sette 270Wi introduces revolutionary design innovations to espresso grinders and enables incredible functionality for home users with grind-by-weight technology.

This machine is the first - and currently the only - espresso grinder offering grind-by-weight functionality directly into a portafilter. Precise, accurate dosing to within a few grams (2-3 beans!) directly into your portafilter makes quality, consistent espresso a breeze.

The machine is equipped with a digital scale utilizing Acaia technology that holds three adjustable and precise presets. This allows you to save three different dose weights for a variety of uses. The convertible device holder is capable of securing a wide variety of portafilters and brewing devices (as well as the included grounds bin) directly below the burrset for quick and easy transfer of coffee.

FEATURES

Grinding Mechanism: The Sette Series has, at its core, a revolutionary grinding mechanism that produces game changing performance. Key aspects of this innovative mechanism include:

1. A straight through grind chamber results in highly-efficient grinding and minimal residual coffee in the system.
2. Rotation of the outer ring burr (with twice the surface area of the cone burr) along with proprietary tooth geometry, produces grinding throughout that is two to three times that of others in its class.
3. Proprietary gear box (planetary + crown gear) that maximizes efficiency of torque transfer, resulting in lower power consumption and much less heat.
4. Powerful DC motor for maximum starting torque and efficiency, resulting in cooler operation.

Burrs & Brewing Methods: Manufactured by Etzinger in liechtenstein, the Sette 270Wi is built with 40mm conical burrs, well suited for espresso and manual brews requiring a finer grind range (e.g. AeroPress or V60).

Acaia Weight-Based Dosing: This grinder was designed with a built in scale using the weighing technology of Acaia for extremely accurate dosing, down to the tenth of a gram. The 270Wi has the revolutionary ability to grind by weight directly into a portafilter - a breakthrough in grinding technology - or into the grounds bin due to the convertible arms.

Digital Control Panel: A user friendly front mounted control panel has an easy to read backlit LED display. Three programmable buttons allow for grind time preset setting within 0.1 seconds. Simply press the start button and the Sette automatically delivers precise dosing.

Grind Adjustment: The Sette has a grind range of 31 steps, ranging from espresso to manual brew. The adjustment mechanism is directly connected to the core burr, resulting in immediate and precise grind adjustment.

Minimal Retention: To maximize freshness, the Sette minimizes the ground coffee left in the grinder with its innovative straight-through grind chamber.

ACCESSORIES

Hopper Extender: An extension that can add 250 g of capacity to the existing 225 g bean hopper.

S2 Burr: The S2 burr an alternate cone burr that improves the grind profile for brew methods requiring a medium-coarse grind.
