This year the Lights of Jackson is made up of a few Nicaragua lots, roasted just enough to showcase bright fruit notes while keeping a delicious amount of roast.
This year, we have four lots from the Nueva Segovia region of Nicaragua, where Luis Alberto Balladarez owns and manages the mill, Beneficio Las Segovias, that many producers rely on for specialty coffee market access. Luis Alberto also has several farms of his own, and three are represented here in this blend - Un Regalo de Dios, Finca La Bendicion, and La Rotonda. These farms provide the fruitiness in this blend, comprised of the following varietals and processing methods: Catimor Natural, Pacamara Natural, and Pacamara Honey.
The Bella Aurora farm, owned by brothers and father team Luis Joaquin, Joaquin Augusto & David Ariél Lovo, provides the backbone of chocolatey sweetness with their washed coffee.
