COFFEE STORY: This community lot comes from farmers around El Sauce, a town in the Loja region in southern Ecuador. Much of the Typica (or Criollo as the locals call it) in the area was killed by the leaf rust disease years ago, but trees at higher elevations were unaffected and thrive even now. These high-grown Typica and Bourbon varieties yield a complex, deep, and structured cup.
